• China State Council published „Outline of the National Intellectual Property Strategy“ on 5 June 2008
• China national standard committee for environmental requirements for electricity and electronic product & solution (SAC TC 297, mirror to IEC TC 111) announced opening
• 69 products are categorized as 1st product catalogue required to join the E-code supervision net

CCC

• CNCA has sent „Regulations for China Compulsory Certification (revised draft)“ to WTO TBT on 24 June 2008
• CNCA published implementation rule on CCC certificate termination, suspension and withdrawal
• China and New Zealand signed Cooperation Agreements on “Quality Certification for Electronic and Electric Products and their Parts”

Energy Labelling

• CELC accepted EuropElectro's proposal and the energy labelling implementation date for storage products of the 3rd product catalogue has been postponed
• Energy efficiency standard of electrical storage water heaters has been promulgated
