On 6 February 2015, the EuropElectro Industry Business Meeting took place on the occasion of ZVEI President Michael Ziesemer’s visit to China. Several Board members as well as other representatives from member companies participated in this meeting. Mr Ziesemer used this meeting to get informed about the latest developments in China which are relevant for the electronics industry and to discuss topics of mutual interest such as Industry 4.0 and Energy Efficiency Policy with other member companies active in China.
In 2014, China was the most important trade partner for the German electronics industry. Against this background, Mr Ziesemer affirmed the importance of the ZVEI Working Party EuropElectro for the member companies active in China. As standards provide for a level playing field in China for our industry, engagement in standardisation activities in China is of utmost importance.
Mrs Wang Xu gave a short presentation on energy efficiency policy in China in this meeting. In May 2015, EuropElectro will jointly organise a Sino-German energy efficiency seminar for Motor systems in cooperation with CNIS – China National Institute of Standardisation. EuropElectro members are invited to participate in this seminar and may sign up as speakers for this event.
