On 3 March 2015, this year’s EuropElectro General Assembly was held in Brussels. Mrs Wang Xu, head of the EuropElectro office in Beijing reported about EuropElectro’s successful work for its members in 2014. In this meeting, the EuropElectro members discussed the work programme for the upcoming year.
2015 is the last year of 12th Five Year Plan. “Reform and Development” is still the key word for the government’s work. The regulations related to the tasks in the EuropElectro task list are subject to changing procedure. In 2015, the EuropElectro work will focus especially on CCC (China Compulsory Certification) and Energy Efficiency. Both topics are of high importance for our members, as they will be subject to regulatory changes in the upcoming year.
On the evening before the meeting, EuropElectro invited its members and guests from industry and the European Commission to attend a dinner event in Brussels. Participants were given the opportunity to discuss the economic relations between the EU and China. Mr Reinhard Bütikofer, MdEP and Vice-Chair of the European Parliaments delegation to the People’s Republic of China gave a keynote speech on the current economic relations between the EU and China.
