In the afternoon of 5 July 2012, ‘2012 International Forum on the Sustainability of Consumer Electronics – Consumer Electronics Energy Efficiency’ was held in QingDao.
The international forum on the sustainability of consumer electronics has been held annually since 2007, which has always involved active players and contributors from the public and private sectors in several countries and regions. In this year, ‘Energy Efficiency’ is selected as one of the subjects for the Sub-Forums as energy efficiency is a hot topic not only in China but also all over the world.
During the half day event, energy efficiency experts from Europe, U.S., China, Japan and Korea gave speeches on relevant topics respectively. Especially, Mr. Piet Derks, the Senior Director and General Manager of Philips Lighting R&D China invited by EuropElectro, gave a speech with the subject of ‘Energy Efficient Lighting: the easiest way to reduce CO2 emissions’. In the speech, Mr. Derks not only mentioned the technology trend of energy efficient lighting, but also described the detailed practice aspects needed to be emphasized including standards, regulations and consumer behaviors, etc. The informative gained quite a good reputation from the professional audiences.
